Kids in arts programs do better in school. Reason enough right there for a system obsessed with academic performance. Now add the soft benefits – kids learn how to lead, how to work as a team, they become more self-disciplined and take on greater individual responsibility. Music and art programs are a path to self-confidence and success. |

Who Are We & What do We Do? We collect and refurbish musical instruments and donate them to school music programs. And, we offer a competitive scholarships to high school seniors who want to continue their arts study at the college level. We’ll post information about the scholarship program in February 2010. About Us explains our mission and position on the arts in education. Effective Financial Management We’re in a good position to weather the current economic crisis. And, we’ve taken some extra measures to make sure POSSCA will be around when the economy picks up. For example, the scholarship program is offline. It’s a temporary suspension that conserves resources and gives us time to restructure the program. We plan to offer competitive scholarships once again in 2010, so watch www.POSSCA.org for details. Art in Education Matters A regular $10 donation adds a lot to what we can spend to repair and donate used musical instruments to South Sound schools. Even $20 makes a big difference. Your $20 could be all we need to offer one more scholarship. Help a creative kid. In tough times, every dollar you give counts. Visit the Donate Now page – it’s fast and easy to contribute – www.possca.org.
